Geographic Distribution

The savanna is described as a grassland with many shrubs and isolated trees.  Although savanna regions are most commonly associated with parts of Africa, it can be found in many other areas of the world as well. These areas include South America, Asia, and Australia, however most of it's percentage is in Africa. There are two different types of savannas: tropical and semi-tropical. The climate here is warm year round and includes a wide and exotic range of animal life.
